Because it's closer...

Last night I was at MNO, so Ryan was home with the boys. When I got home Ryan told me this story, I thought it was pretty funny.

Bennett went to the bathroom last night and Ryan went to check on him. Bennett gets into all kinds of mischief in the bathroom. Well he caught him peeing in the bathtub. Ryan told him that we pee in the toilet and not in the tub. The next time Bennett went to the bathroom Ryan checked on him again. You will never guess were he was peeing, yep in the tub. When Ryan asked him why he was doing it Bennett said "Cuz it's closer and I do it all the time." I had not idea that he was doing this and if you have ever been to our house the toilet is maybe two feet from the tub.

He must have been in a mood yesterday because I must have told him to do or not do something, which is a regular thing in this house. He looked at me and said " I don't like you and I want a new Mom. Do we have any new Moms?" Yes Bennett I keep the extra Mom in the closet in case I need a break.

I have no idea where this kid gets this stuff!

Memorial Day Weekend

First off I know that it is not over but it might as well be. My Mom can up on Thursday to spend time with the boys, we spend the day playing outside. Friday we went to a play date at the park. My Mom finally got to see the boys true personalities and how they are with their friends. Surprisingly everyone was very well behaved while we were there, that can be a big deal for Bennett! And on the plus side both of the boys took a awesome nap when we got home.

I went off and got my hair cut since we were going of with the board from Ryan's work. I finally got a haircut that I like. The dinner was quite interesting and not really worth the free dinner. The food that I had was wonderful, which was only the appetizer. The waiter gave my dinner to the wrong person so by the time I got my dinner everyone else was done. We were at Angelina's for like 4 hours which felt like 10 hours. I have never been at a dinner for so long. The night took off from there, we stayed at the Radisson connected to the casino. I did not gamble once but I had a great time. I have no idea the last time I was up that late. Even though Ryan was there I hardly saw him, he was sitting at the blackjack table all night.

Saturday it was back to the boys, I got lots of kisses when I got home. That was great I wish I got that much love and snuggles everyday! After Ryan was done with his board meeting he took my Mom home and picked up the kids. Not much was done that day.

Sunday we went to our first drive in of the year. This is my absolute favorite activity. We went quite a few time last year but this was the first time taking Callan being older. He did get other then every time I tried to put him in his car seat he woke up. Before the movie started we walked around and looked at all the dogs, not my choice every time Callan saw one he stopped and "barked" at them. It was quite comical. We ended up only staying for Monsters vs Aliens, the older kids got cold. Every year we tell them to dress warmly and they never do, I really wanted to see Taken too.

This morning everyone slept in except Callan and there for me. I did get him to go back to sleep with me on the couch for awhile this morning so that was good. Both boys are napping right now, Callan in his crib and Bennett on their bedroom floor. He never wants to nap in his bed anymore but as long as he is napping I could careless if was hanging upside door in his closet! Ryan is on his was to Milwaukee right now. His ex was suppose to drive all the way up here, then she was suppose to meet half way now nothing. So I am hoping that he will be home sometime before midnight, even though it is a 4 hour trip round trip who knows what traffic is going to be like. Hopefully the boys are perfect angels when they get up from nap and we have a perfect afternoon/evening. Well a Mom can hope right?

Here goes nothing... Mother's Day

I am not sure how good I am going to be at this blogging thing but I will try it out.

I got woken up at 6 am by my wonderful son, Callan. I tried to wake up Ryan but him and Waige went to the Brewers game and didn't get home until 12:30. I guess he couldn't get to sleep when he got home. I have no clue, since we got the king sized bed I have no idea when/if he is in bed. I love it. The day didn't get much better. It was really just a regular old Sunday, crabby no napping kids.

For the first time in four years I got a card and a gift from Lori. I must say that I was more then shocked. Every time something doesn't go her way or she doesn't want to do something it is all my fault. It comes with the territory of being a step mom I guess. It was a really sweet card and she got me a pair of earrings. I don't think she will ever know how much that meant to me. Now I have to try to get the earrings in, I haven't worn earring since Bennett discovered I had earlobes.

I did get a hanging basket of flowers and a small mum from the boys and a card that Ryan did not sign. And I had a delicious, stressful dinner. Dinner at our house is always stressful especially when Bennett hasn't taken a nap. Yesterday was no different. He had a complete melt down during dinner and nothing help. Callan ate great for the first time in a few days so that was good.

After dinner Ryan started to cut the grass and I offered to do it just to get away from the whining. I was also most done and the mower ran out of gas, so I grabbed a gas can out of the garage and filled it up. Well I still couldn't get it started so I called Ryan out. He oh so nicely let me know that I put the wrong gas in. So we had a few words in the backyard, drained the gas out and put the right stuff back in. After about 15 minutes he finally got it started and finished the grass.

Needless to say I was very happy to see the day come to an end. Hope you have enjoyed me first blog entry and hopefully there are more to come!
